Most Popular Song on 4th of July?

4th of July, Independence Day is a special day for Americans so we might wonder what songs were they listening to today, right? Thanks to music streaming site Spotify we can get insight into this.

Spotify has been able to shed some light on what was the most listened song on July 4 of last year, compared to how many plays the songs usually got on other days.

Spotify started with a giant list of music that was included in thousands of “Fourth of July”-related playlists, a collection spanning everything from Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA” to Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert’s rendition of “America the Beautiful.”

In 46 of 50 states, the Miley Cyus song “Party in the U.S.A.” wound up as the most popular track from the list, so Spotify decided to look for “distinctive” songs that were listened to the most on the holiday relative to the other 364 days of the year.
