Thfire.com Everyday news that matters The results for the parlimentary elections that was held in various states of India in 6 different phase are out on saturday. Congress led alliance win the elections and have the majority to form the government. The other big party BJP which expected to bounce back to power failed to prove the point. It was a major setback for them losing many seats and bagging only 159 seats.
“We accept the defeat. We will work on to know where we went wrong” says BJP sources. BJP has decided to sit as the opposition and have shown their interest for Constructive cooperation to the UPA led government. “BJP leader L.K.Advani who was the prime minister candidate for the 2009 elections have decided to resign from active politics . It was turn down by the BJP headoffice who are looking forward towards Advani to guide them” sources report.
There was lots of buzz that took place before the verdict was out. Each party trying to gain other parties trust to form the government. But the luck and people of India favoured the Congress government.
The result was however not only a shocker for BJP alone but to the other party named Left. The left party bagged only 24 seats for the 2009 elections which was their poor show from last term where they bagged 69 seats for the year 2004. Left and some other parties have decided to remain abstain.
