Register your Credit Card with your Bank or else your online payment will not be accepted from 1 st August 2009.
In order to make online transactions Safe & Secure, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has passed a new mandate with effect from 1st August 2009, wherein online credit card based transactions will include a new verification process. From the 1st of August 2009, every time you make an online payment, you will be directed to your bank’s website where you will be asked to enter an additional password as an extra level of authentication.
So register with your bank before the 1st of August to continue your online transactions.
What is process of getting this ‘Extra Password’?
To get an ‘extra password’, log on to your bank’s website and complete the registration process. On completion you will be given an extra password that will have to be used whenever you purchase anything online with your credit card. Different banks have different kinds of processes for registration. So we request you to contact your bank.
When will I have to provide the ‘extra password’ that I receive?
When you provide details of your credit card while purchasing products online from ClickJobs.com or any other website, you will be directed to your banks website, where you will be asked to provide your Verified by Visa (VBV) / MasterCard SecureCode (MSC) password. After entering the password you will be directed back to ClickJobs.com to complete your entire payment process.
Is the procedure the same for all credit cards?
Different banks have different kinds of processes for registration. So we request you to contact your bank. However in case of an American Express card you will have be asked to provide your billing address on the payment page, which will be verified by the bank. This technology is called Address Verification System or AVS. So ensure that you remember your billing address correctly, since with AVS your transaction will be cancelled in case your addresses do not match.
