New Indian Rupee Symbol a copy of Euro?

Indian government is on the way to propose a recognizable symbol for their currency Rupee. They have shortlisted a symbol which is very likely to represent the rupee.

I very much doubt the uniqueness of the Rupee symbol  designed by the designer Mr. Uday Kumar.

Let me do a small example on this.

Here is the original proposed Rupee Symbol

Now let us experiment this Rupee symbol. Lets first Invert it, it will look like this

Now, let us compare this symbol with Euro Symbol.

Do you see the similarity. I think the designer has done a great research on world currency symbol and has linked the Indian symbol to one of the super powers of the world.

Does this mean India is ready to take the World Super Power Position?
