City suffered an early blow as their new summer signing ‘Kun’ Aguero limping off the pitch. Adam Johnson started the scoring for the star studded city in 56th min from the edge of the area. Four minutes later Mario Balotelli doubled city’s lead volleying a neat cross from Samir Nasri, later the Frenchman scored one of his own in 73rd minute before Stefan Savic headed his first goal for City.

However, Anderson brought back hope for united after scoring the first goal when he headed home Rooney’s pass from head in the 6-yard box as Steve Morrison and Anthony Pilkington wasted chances to put ahead Norwich against the champions. It doesn’t ended there as substitute Danny Welbeck finished of things for United in 88th minute after an unselfish play from J.S Park inside the box.

United remain top of the table on goal difference.
