Raiders longtime owner and Hall of Famer AL Davis has died. He was 82.
Davis died in his home in Oakland on Saturday morning.
Davis was one of the most important figures in NFL history. He is best known as a rebel who established a team whose silver-and-black colors and pirate logo symbolized his attitude toward authority, both on the field and off.
Referred as “True Legend of the game” by Commissioner Roger Goodell, Davis impact will always be felt on the NFL forever.
Davis born at 1929, was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1992 .
He will always be remembered as the Man who by his rebellious spirit, established, the NFL as the most successful sports league in American history.
