iOS FB Messenger Gets Video Sharing!

Facebook has updated the iOS version of its Messnger app. The new Facebook Messenger 5.0 for iOS has a lot of improvements and new features. You can download the new version directly from Apple’s App Store.

The highlights of this flashy new version is that they have included video sharing. Facebook has also improved the search functionality and has implemented a faster photo sharing feature.

• More ways to message: Everything’s front and center, so it’s easier to send photos, voice messages and more.
• Video: Send videos from your phone’s camera roll and when people send you videos, play them right in the app.
• Instant photo sharing: Take a photo and send it in just one tap, without leaving the conversation.
• Shortcuts to stickers: When someone sends you a sticker, press and hold down on it to get the pack.
• Improved search: Enter the names of people and groups to find them quickly.
• Other fixes, including to stickers and groups.

So what about the Android users? Looks like they have been sidelined by Facebook. Well don’t curse yourself for getting an Android, Facebook has announced that it will also release the update for the Android platform by this week.
