Craigslist ads never fail to surprise us.
Whether you’re looking for positive pregnancy tests or trying to hire a super-skinny person to scare kids into eating, you can pretty much find anything you need (and a bunch of stuff you’d never need) on Craigslist.
One we never thought we’d see, though, is an ad seeking someone to attend Harvard University for four years in another’s stead. The poster offers $40,000 a year, plus a $10,000 bonus after graduation. The ad, which appeared under Writing Gigs in Pittsburg’s Craigslist has some high-level requirements: The chosen “student” must have a 4.0 GPA in high school or a 3.5 GPA in a university, must be male and must pass all tests once attending Harvard.
The Craigslist poster could not be reached for comment, so we can’t confirm this is a legitimate gig, but it conjures up some fun ethical debates. Tell us in the comments if you would take Mr. Harvard up on his offer.
