Job Description:
In this role you will be working alongside the Head of Global Banking in managing all operational aspects of the Global Banking division, including financial management, risk management and client planning for the business, along with interface on behalf of the business with key support disciplines.
The role requires:
·close liaison with bankers to understand business opportunities and issues
·extensive interaction with a wide network of people locally, regionally and globally
·ad-hoc project oversight to drive business initiatives; and
·overall focus to ensure there is relevant infrastructure to support business growth in a controlled manner
Key Accountabilities
*Responsible for the co-ordination of accounting, financial and management reporting including:
budgets
expense management
deal pipeline
league tables
monthly management reporting
revenue tracking
deal maintenance
headcount
expense approvals
*Balance Sheet management, tracking and reporting including client returns, loan pricing, maturity and renewal monitoring
*The Business Manager works closely with the Head of Indian Global Banking and the region in managing client coverage. This includes the coordination of account planning, priority clients and client profitability
*On an ad hoc basis, the Business Manager will be required to provide presentations on market analysis, financial reporting and competitor analysis
*Responsible for all Global Banking Risk Management requirements including:
*Operational risk oversight, COB and Information Security
*Completion of deal related compliance and monitoring such as submission of NBM’s, Conflict Clearance, Engagement letter signing, Commitment Committee Clearance and Deal Files
*Preparation ahead of Global Banking Internal Audit, where applicable
*Frequent liaison with many support areas including Finance, Legal, Compliance, IT and other business areas
*Oversight of Global Banking administrative staff
B.Compliance Responsibilities:

Desired Profile:
Key Competencies/Skills
*Technical/Specialist skills/competencies required in this role
- Experience in budgeting and management accounting and reporting
- Must be extremely proficient in Excel and Powerpoint
- Strong organisational skills.
*Business/Industry knowledge/competencies
- Knowledge of financial markets
- Knowledge of capital market instruments
- Understanding of global banking clients
*Personal Attributes/Interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills, including ability to prioritise workload to complete within tight deadlines

Qualifications/Experience Required
- Tertiary qualifications within an accounting/finance background
- CPA/CA qualified
- Significant experience in Business Management, Accounting or Finance
- Management accounting/reporting experience.
