Mexican actress Karla Alvarez has been found dead, she was just 41. The exact cause of her death remains unknown. She was cast in a number of telenovelas with celebrities such as Thalia.
Alvarez, considered one of the biggest villains on Mexican TV, was found lifeless Friday in her apartment in the Mexican capital, according to the Televisa network where the actress worked.
News of the actress’s death was confirmed by her sister Valerie to the producer of the television program “No Lo Cuentes,” Andrea Rodriguez, without indicating a cause of death.
Alvarez appeared in stories like “Mi Querida Isabel,” “Agujetas de Color de Rosa,” “Prisionera de Amor,” “La Intrusa” and “Vivan los Niños,” while her last role was in the telenovela “Que Bonito Amor,” together with actors Jorge Salinas and Danna Garcia.
The actress, who began her career in 1992 in the telenovela “Maria Mercedes” with Thalia, also acted in stage plays like “Engañame Si Puedes,” “La Cenicienta” and “La Casa de los Lios,” while in movies her only starring role was in the film “La Santa Muerte.”
Her popularity soared following her part in “Big Brother VIP” in 2003.
