Edward Furlong — who can be seen onscreen in this week’s “The Green Hornet” — was reportedly arrested Tuesday for violating a restraining order against his wife.
According to The Hollywood Reporter and TMZ, Furlong, 33, was required to stay 100 yards away from his estranged wife, Rachael Kneeland, per an order she obtained last year. While in court Tuesday for a progress hearing, an attorney revealed that Furlong allegedly violated that order (and his probation) last month, which led to his arrest.
He was subsequently released on bail. The arrest is particularly poorly timed since “The Green Hornet,” the first major studio movie for Furlong since 1999’s “Detroit Rock City,” opens Friday. The actor, who has struggled in the past with substance abuse, has a small role in the vigilante-justice comedy as a drug dealer.
