Anne Hathaway is the Catwomen

Its official ! Anne Hathaway is the Catwoman in the new Batman movie, Dark Knight Raises. Its also confirmed that Tom Hardy will play villain Bane.

Warner Bros has been kind enough to drop out these confirmations. They released this info in a press release. Two character’s were confirmed. First, Anne Hathaway has been cast as Selina Kyle, the altar ego of Catwoman! “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Anne Hathaway, who will be a fantastic addition to our ensemble as we complete our story,” Nolan said. And second, Tom Hardy, who we already know is in the cast, has been confirmed as the villain Bane.

Christopher Nolan will direct the movie. He has also written the screen play along with Jonathan Nolan. Based on the story by David S. Goyer. Christopher Nolan will also produce the movie along with his partners Emma Thomas, and Charles Roven. “I am delighted to be working with Tom again and excited to watch him bring to life our new interpretation of one of Batman’s most formidable enemies.”

Dark Knight Raises is scheduled to hit the theaters on July 20th 2012.
