US family photo turned into advertising

A US family seemed startled to know that their family photo has been used as an advertising Photo in  prague. The couple Danielle and Jeff Smith used to post their family  photo in internet blog and also used  it as a christmas photo.

One of their friends phoned up to inform that their family photo is seen in a super market picture laughing at him . “It’s a life-size picture in a grocery store window in Prague – my Christmas card photo!” said a startled Ms Smith, 36, who lives in a suburb of St Louis.

The super market is  run by Mario Bertuccio, who is specialist in Italian food imports. He assumed that the image was a computer selected image and hence used it to advertise his grazie delivery services. The shop keeper promised that he will remove the image in an immediate effect. He added that ,” I am happy to write them an email stating my apology and said if the family had been staying locally he would have like to give them a bottle of wine.

Both couple and photographer reported that  they have not been asked permission to use the photo.  Additionally, the couple have now decided to water mark their photos before using it online.
