Jeans that can clean themselves!

Scientist say they have found out a technique to makes Jeans clean themselves with the help of Sunlight. So,we may actually see Jeans removing all the dirt and bacteria from it once it is placed in balcony or open place where Sunlight can touch it.

When i came across this info, i felt Wow! Now, i dont need to waste my time planning and cleaning the Jean i wore. But the following words made my day dull

Scientist vow to create a cotton fabric from the chemicals  Titanium Dioxide and Nitrogen that can be used for Jeans which would eventually clean itself while exposed to sunlight.

Titanium Dioxide,  is the controversial chemical used almost in all of our products. You can find Titanium dioxide in tooth paste, Paint, on Creams that you apply in skin. Titanium dioxide is normally used to create the Whiteness in the stuff you use.

Ok! Whats wrong in Using Titanium Dioxide? Whats harm in it?

To say, Titanium Dioxide is a serious Cancer causing contender. Reports are wider on the Chemical if you just google it.

However, it was suggested that Titanium dioxide is harmful only when inhaled and not ingested.

Imagine, the Jeans is ready with Titanium dioxide. What will happen if your kids goes on the Jeans and smells it???

Sounds scary right.

If the proposal from Scientist turns into reality, i might just say Good Bye to the Jeans.
